Ina is a Pediatric Cardiologist at the Philippine Heart Center. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center. Burdened by the limited number of Cardiology Specialists and the growing burden of Heart Disease in Children, she pursued a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at the Philippine Heart Center. Inspired by the results of the institution’s Adult Cardiac Rehab Program and armed with the support of other disciplines, she spearheaded the establishment of PediaCaRe (Pediatric Cardiac Rehabilitation Section) and continues to serve as its Program Coordinator since its inception in 2001. Her desire is to make an impact in patient care that goes beyond medical or surgical intervention through preventive cardiology advocacies, such as the promotion of physical activity, the prevention of Rheumatic Fever /RHD and by fostering collaborations of health providers.
